RATTLIFF EARNS TOP TEN FINISH AT PORTSMOUTH OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND!

Justin Rattliff and his #16 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio (August 30) and the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia (August 31) for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events last weekend. On Saturday at Portsmouth, Justin ran fifth in his heat race and second in his B-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the tenth row for the 'Glockner River Days Rumble 75,' the driver known as the "Rattler" worked his way past ten cars during the $10,000 to win A-Main en route to a solid ninth place performance.

The 40th Annual 'Hillbilly 100' was then on tap at Tyler County on Sunday and a whopping $40,000 top prize was up for grabs. Justin unfortunately could not make his way into the 100-lap main event at the "Bullring," as he finished ninth in his heat race and thirteenth in his B-Main. Justin now sits seventh in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points battle with only three races remaining. JUSTIN RATTLIFF TACKLES LAWRENCEBURG & BARDSTOWN...

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took the #16 team to the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana (August 22) and the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky (August 23) last weekend for a pair of pivotal series point races. At Lawrenceburg on Friday night, Justin Rattliff ran sixth in both his heat race and the B-Main to earn the twenty-second starting spot in the $7,000 to win main event. After forty green flag racing laps around the newly-refurbished speedplant, Justin was able to gain four positions en route to an eighteenth place performance.

On Saturday evening at Bardstown, the cameras of the SPEED Channel were on hand to tape all of the wheel-to-wheel action of the $10,000 to win 'Bluegrass Classic.' After dropping a driveshaft in qualifying, Justin finished seventh in both the heat race and the consolation event. The Campbellsville, Kentucky driver was then forced to take use of a series provisional to gain access into the 60-lap 'Bluegrass Classic.' Following his start at the rear of the field, Justin brought his #16 entry home in the nineteenth position. He now sits sixth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings following the doubleheader weekend. You can view full results online at www.lucasdirt.com.
